The story

In colonial Hanoi in 1902, French authorities tried to control a rat infestation by offering a bounty for rat tails. Instead, the incentive was exploited and the rat problem persisted. This fictional 16-bit arcade game puts you in the sandals of a Vietnamese rat catcher: chase rats through three market districts, build combos and collect bounties as the city-wide rat population rises. After six minutes, face the untimed Rat King boss, with a checkpoint for retries. The net combat, rat types and Rat King are invented; the failed colonial bounty was real.
